Brief character backstory/info:
Sheshamaru was born into the Nagara clan, which originated from the Land of Rice Fields, later known as the Land of Sounds.

During Orochimaru's rule over Otogakure, he did many genetic experiments on both himself and others. In order to refine his own unique biology he experimented on the Nagara, who shared close enough genes to himself that the same procedures would carry over. The individuals who went through this procedure, like Orochimaru, became capable of producing a kind of chakra that allowed them to morph and modify their own body with snakes and snake like features (as seen when Sasuke absorbed Orochimaru and Kabuto takes a genetic sample from him). Their children would also inherited these powers, turning it into a kekkei genkai that would later be named Snake Release. Acting much like an advanced chakra transformation, Snake release allowed them to create a kind of pseudo senjutsu chakra that mimicked the effects sage mode has on the body, in this case, snake sage.

As Sheshamaru grew up and joined the ninja academy, he had dreams of becoming a great ninja like many of the legends of history, particularly the stories of Hoshirama Senju and Madara Uchiha. which he would often collect and greatly admire, even envying their fame. However, it also became apparent he had almost no natural talent for the ninja arts, his genjutsu was pathetic, his taijutsu was practically non existent, and his Ninjutsu was barely passable. Shortly before graduation he managed to unlock his unique snake chakra, and win his first ever sparing match. It was around this time he realised that so many of the greatest ninja in history all possessed powerful bloodlines and often Kekkei genkai; Hoshirama had his Wood Release, and his powerful Senju blood, while Madara possessed the Mangekyo Sharingan. It was after this he delved all his time training into furthering the development of his own kekkei genkai, and understanding the nature of genetics and bloodlines, interested in not only the academic information, but perhaps in finding a practical application.

Around the time he passed the chunin exams he used all he had learnt to formulate a brand new jutsu that would take the kekkei genkai's from another individual and give them to himself. However, this also resulted in the absorption of the victim, leading it to easily become classed as a kinjutsu. It required that he grew an attached snake to his body through the use of the body augmentation properties of Snake Chakra, similar to Kabuto's navel snake, but he proffered to position it at the end of the spine, so that they both shared the same spinal column and could more easily share sight and information. This snake could then ingest the body of a fallen enemy. The genetic blueprint of this individual would be recorded, and could then be regenerated with the upper half of their body re merging from the snake's mouth as an extension of Sheshamaru's flesh. This gruesome power allowed him to use their body like a puppet that still possessed any biological powers they did before absorption, and due to muscle memory; some of their skills. These genes could also be completely integrated into Sheshamaru's genes, affectively giving him the complete possession of any kekkei genkai they owned. However, this also had the side effect of often adding other features of their biology to him, such as eye or hair colour, and on occasion; personality traits.

Shesha's body has since fully embraced snake chakra, meaning it is covered in scales, and has permanent snake like features. He often wears a mask of fake skin over his head, similar to Orochimaru, to try and help to blend in when necessary.

Since then Sheshamaru has absorbed individuals with the molecular breakdown Kekkei genkai used by Sakon and ukon, and the spider powers used by Kidomaru, giving him 6 arms and a third eye, these would often help with his severly limited taijutsu ability, and the webs helped him to restrain possible targets for absorption. By using genetic remains from Kimimaro, he was also able to gain Shikotsumyaku, otherwise known as the Dead Bone Pulse. This also turned his hair a light grey.

Sheshamaru would also grow many more snakes on his body, then using the cellular manipulation kekkei genkai, he stores these snakes within his body when not needed. He'd often use these snakes to surprise enemies and spit out the webs from the spider powers he'd gained. And due to his lack of skill, he had great difficulty preforming complex summoning jutsu's such as Striking Shadow Snake, and so used these snakes to replicate that technique. Though instead of being summons, they where a part of him. He'd also implant doujutsu in in some of them. including one pair of Byakugan.

In order to keep up the stamina necessary for multiple transplanted doujutsu, he also collected a large amount of the slain zetsu from the fourth shinobi war and synthesised a pure enough extract to create a sample of Hoshirama's cells to use upon himself. This gave him Senju DNA, as well as access to Wood Release. He also developed a venus fly trap like organ on his stomach, similar to the Zetsu soldiers. He could then open up its jaws and release many green vine like tendrels from inside. using them not only to attack and hold enemies, but also for mobility and easy use of wood style, He'd also began absorbing any other victoms through this technique, rather then the snakes mouth. He'd often use these in his variant of wood style, striking them into the ground and having them split off into roots, only to spring up out of the ground and into trees that while still connected to him, in his control.

After absorbing a wielder of the Sharingan, Sheshamaru developed it in not only his own eyes, but also his snakes (and due to his Senju DNA, could maintain them all activated most of the time). He also eventually did what many Uchiha do, and managed to awaken his Mangekyo sharingan. Within his right eye he can cast a short range Kamui, and in his left, Amaterasu, often combining both abilities to create a spiralling vortex of black flame. He also unlocked a black susanoo. Due to the Senju DNA however, the effects of blindness have been slowed down, much like with Obito. But if he does eventually loose his sight he intends to use his snakes to see until he finds another Mangekyo wielder to steal their eyes.

Finally, he found Madara's Rinnegan that was hidden away by Obito long after his death, and transplanted it into his third eye socket, given to him by the spider kekkei genkai. However, he uses it's techniques very rarely, and often not effectively.
